		<description>The one area that was evident at both EDPS and DAC was 3D design, e.g. wafer stacks, TSVs, etc. There were several presentations at EDP on this and several vendors at DAC were talking about 3D as well as several sessions.

Multicore was a hot issue at EDPS but was kind of under-the-hood at DAC. Although, if you look closely, you'd see a lot of tools running on multiple processors.

Lastly, I can't finish without of course mentioning cloud computing, which had one presentation at EDPS and was a lot more evident in sessions at DAC.</description>
